Born and raised in Covington, Virginia, I joined the U.S. Air Force at eighteen, a decision that introduced me to a world of opportunities and led me to meet my wife, Oddette. After serving at Rhein Main Air Base in Germany, where I embraced the culture and met my British-born wife, life took an unexpected turn when I suffered a back injury that ended my military career. This challenge led me into a phase of struggle with depression, but also to discovering my passion for photography when my wife gifted me a DSLR camera in 2007.
Photography started as a therapeutic outlet, capturing the landscapes of Virginia, but evolved significantly with the birth of our first daughter, Kyra, in 2010. This new chapter turned my focus towards portraiture, capturing life’s fleeting moments. Now settled in Waynesboro, in the Shenandoah Valley, with my wife and two daughters, I am dedicated to documenting life's precious moments for others, driven by the joy and fulfillment that photography brings to both my subjects and myself.
